Faith Lutheran School of Plano hosts Veterans Day recognition event on November 11

Faculty, staff and students at Plano’s Faith Lutheran School gathered on Thursday, November 11 with military veterans, special guests and others for a special Veterans Day recognition program.

“This event was a way for us to show our respect for our country and to express our thanks to veterans who have given so much so that we may enjoy many freedoms,” said Faith Lutheran School Headmaster Rev. Stephen W. Kieser of Wylie.

The event featured the school's elementary and middle school choir singing the National Anthem, the school's high school choir singing Taps accompanied by student trumpet players, the presentation of colors from the Sons of the American Revolution, a proclamation from the Plano Mayor's office, a flag folding ceremony, the singing of America the Beautiful and more.
