Summer Reading Club 2014 kicked off on June 7th with an estimated 450 people in attendance. Thanks to all the volunteers who helped make this program a great success. We appreciate your assistance with this program. The crowds were entertained with face painting, balloon art, games, and they had the opportunity to register for Summer programs. This year the library has something for all ages, so please come sign up!

If you have a teenager who was an avid reader as a child and now hardly opens a book, there are few things that experts suggest to get them engaged in reading again. Give teens an opportunity to choose their own books. When you take your teen to the library, give them the opportunity to browse and make their own selections. Encourage them to find reading materials on their favorite sports teams, video games, and/or television stars. Anything your teen reads will build their reading skills…… so, encourage them to come to library and check out a few books!
The Library has increased usage over the summer months. Please be kind to your fellow library users and return your materials on time. There is a book drop in the library parking lot for your convenience. You can renew online with your library card and pin number (last four digits of your phone number) or by calling the Library at 972-530-8966. The e-book collection is available 24/7 and instructions are available online for downloading e-books to your smart device.
