Summer programs will end on July 31 with Rockin’ with Rhett. August will kick off Pajama Story time on August 5th at 7:00. Bring the whole family on the first Tuesday for a bedtime story time and more. Feel free to come in your pajamas.
August will feature special programs during the regular story time. Garland Symphony will be providing Kid Notes on August 7th at 11:00. They will teach us about music and everyone will have an opportunity to play orchestra instruments. The Library will host its second annual Star Wars Party on August 14 at 11:00. Come join us for star wars themes games and snacks! August 21 will feature the movie Frozen at 11:00. Children of all ages are welcome to attend the August programs. The library will kick off traditional story time on September 4th at 11:00.
The Collin County master gardeners will host a special program for adults on August 12th at 6:30. The drought is affecting all of north Texas and its plants. Please plan to attend this informational program to learn about drought tolerant plant from master gardeners.
Please remember to be courteous to other library users and return your materials on time to the library. The library has a book drop in the west parking lot that can be accessed 24/7 along with a book drop that goes into the building on the other side. Books and audio books checkout for three weeks. Materials are ten cents a day (audio books and books) and $1.00 a day for DVD’s which check out seven days. All materials can be renewed online or by calling the library. Online renewal is available 24 hours a day. You can login to your account with your library card number and your pin which is the last four digits of your phone number. So, please return or renew your materials and be courteous to fellow library users. In addition, the library offers a growing collection of e-books that can be accessed 24/7. Information on how to download e-books to your smart device is available on the library’s website at www.cityofsachse.com.
